Nestled in the embrace of cerulean waters, Island is a tropical haven that embodies the very essence of paradise. With its pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and a myriad of activities for travelers of all tastes, this island is a dream come true for those seeking an unforgettable escape.
Natural Beauty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The natural beauty of island is awe-inspiring. From the moment I set foot on its powdery white-sand beaches, I was enchanted by the crystal-clear waters that gently lapped at the shore. The island's lush, tropical vegetation creates a vivid contrast against the turquoise sea, and the verdant hills and mountains provide endless opportunities for exploration and hiking. Sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular, painting the sky in hues of orange, pink, and purple, making every evening a postcard moment.
The Jawaki tower is the best part of the wetlands in my opinion - the view is amazing. But you also have the boardwalk to feel like yours out in the wetlands. You have the visitor house to know a tiny bit more about how the wetlands came to be. And you have nature views like the mangrove trees.
Biking to Chek Jawa Wetlands @ Pulau Ubin island.
Nice rainforest bike ride with some garden stops on the way. At the end there is a nice walk through the mangrove forest over a wooden walkway.
Far from the madding crowds is Paradise 😍😍. That’s how I will describe the Chek Jawa Wetlands. Getting there is a quite an effort: Changi Ferry Centre - Ferry - Pulau Ubin and then the 4 kms trek to thy Wetlands
Advise people to hire bicycles and not make my mistake of trekking there
Once you reach , the place is magically divine and serene . With the boardwalk which takes you next to the sea is simply beautiful and therapeutic. Do not be in a rush . Sit on the benches . Close your eyes and get into a different world . We had an amazing time 😎😎
Nice place to connect with nature just beware of monkeys and mozzies. Make sure to come prepared, and the bicycle ride is a mixture of elevations. I had to push my bike at some point as I took the city bike. My husband took the mountain bike, and it was much easier for him. But it's fine. I love riding on city bike as the seats are more padded.
This is a Nature Reserve and it opens daily, except Public Holiday, from 9am~5pm. No bicycle is allowed inside this place. All bicycles have to park outside the gate before the visitors are allowed to walk into the place. It has a bridge trail along the coast for viewing and a tall Tower to view the vicinity and beyond. It's good to plan ahead for low tide and walk on the beach.
Please bring enough drinking water and light snacks to explore the Island. Also to bring some insects repellent as the Island has plenty of mosquitos.
Absolutely a hidden gem in Singapore, and a place to explore another side of the city state.
You need to take a bicycle ride in the rainforest for 15 mins from the jetty pier to reach here, but this is a place with truly nature, including lots of monkeys and water monitors. The walkway on the coast is definitely a very good place to view the nearby islands and the forest seaside of the island.
It's a good experience for small trekking. But the worst part is too hot sun. Plan your trip well before u start, take sun glass, umbrella/cap, bottled water minimum 2ltr/hydrated drink, towel, insect repellent(not necessary, unless overnight stay) and the most important is enough cash withdraw before entering pulau ubin as there is no nets.Pack cooked foods if you are visiting with family.
There are lot of places to visit within pulaubin, there is bicycle for rent, but suggest don't go in hot sun it's too hot and some places are slope and hard to go. Instead take shared van (shuttle service) need to pay. Maximum per person is $15 includes to and from.
U can talk to the drivers as package if u plan ro visit more places.
Most importantly, it's best for place for photography can discover lot of few species. If u go on the weekend/public holiday is quite packed and u can see alot of photographers crew along the jungle..haha..
Lastly, the boat charges $4 per person per trip (cash only) from changi ferry terminal and roughly takes 10 to 15mins to reach.
